Call for Papers & Speakers
We invite proposals for sessions at the 3rd Thrive Third Sector Conference, taking place on 3 October 2017 in Cornwall and focusing on the theme of Charity Leadership.
The Thrive Third Sector Conference attracts up to 150 delegates each year from charities and community organisations across the South West. Our Keynote Speaker this year is Debra Allcock-Tyler, Chief Executive of the Directory for Social Change.

made by 28 June 2017 and speakers will be notified by 10 July 2017.
The focus of this years’ conference is Leadership. We are interested in submissions that have direct or indirect connection to the theme and to engaging effective leadership throughout third sector organisations. This could include, for example:
-Strategy & decision making
-Current issues and challenges
-Product and Service Development
We would like to see a mix of sessions formats, for example: presentation with slides, interactive workshops and discussion or panel sessions.
The majority of sessions will be 60 minutes in length.

Submission review process
Following the close of submissions the conference organizing committee will individually review
and vote on all proposals. The votes will then be combined and a shortlist created. The
shortlisted submissions will be reviewed and ranked. Final selection will be made from the

Free entry to the conference
Travel costs: We aim to cover speakers travel costs which can be reclaimed after the conference:
For UK based speakers the travel allowance is £150
For speakers based in Europe the allowance is £300
Speakers may submit more than one session if they wish. However we ask speaker to limit
themselves to no more than 3 submissions. If more than one session is chosen the speakers package remains the same.
Sessions with multiple speakers may be submitted both speakers will be entitled to free entry although the committee may ask speakers to share the travel allowance.
